Hi, dont know if any of you have experianced a problem like this, but just wondering if you could shed some light on the problem.
Right, i had a Pipercross induction kit fitted to my 1.2 corsa about 2 months ago. After a couple of weeks of usage i began to notice that, when ever i come to traffic lights or somthing and i put it in neutral for about 20 secs, ill put it into gear and goto pull off and the car wil start stuttering, then it will pull off again then start stuttering again then pull back off again.
when i say stuttering i mean it feels like its about to stall, or about to run out of petrol or somthing.
a couple of weeks ago i put the orginal factory air filter back on the car but i am still experiancing this problem when putting it into neutral.
Any ideas?

Im guessing its a 16valver, i had that problem - think its just sucking in too much hot air....
Just an educated guess though!
Does the EML ever come on?

Heat soak i'd say
De-restricted airbox with panle filter is a better setup

Yes it is a 16 valve, and nope EML light has never came on, how did you solve the problem when it was happening to your corsa?

I never, i just put up with it - ditched the 1200 now though!
I'm guessing good a panel filter and drill the air box would be the best option...
There is no real gain with a cone filter on a 1.2 i would say, neither does it make a nice noise other than a mighty big suck....so back to air box and make some pennies by selling the cone!

tbh i dont think that is the problem. If he put the original filter back on a couple of weeks ago the heatsoak should have stopped and the problem should have been solved.
I take it its a 1.2 16v?
Try an AFM (Air Flow Meter) as they like to fuck up on these engines

i know this will sound a basic fix considering the other replies but have you tried resetting the ECU? Disconnect the battery for a set length of time, i forget how long as iv heard many suggestions of an hr to 24hrs, i'd say two hrs should do it. then reconnect and fire her up, let it recalibrate to the filter and drive "normally" for 20miles and it may help?

itll be the afm, induction kits seem to kill them on 1.2 16v's

its not really a case of the induction kit killing it, the 1.2s just generally have a problem with the airflow meter. u2u replied.
