the failure rate for pc's in 2007 is 5%

IMO pc's don't compare, and thats saying notebooks were most commonly broken screens.

ok if pcs was a bad choice then what about lcd tvs? according to this( go to page 1) 3% is a very acceptable failure rate with companies aiming for 5%.
they seem to be rather angry about a sony model though

Yes and had it replaced twice now!
1st replacement was DOA. Waiting a grand total of 72 days to get a working XBox back.

I thought I spotted the red ring of death on saturday as it crashed and wouldnty do anything but took the power cable out and put it back in and its fine

sent mine off when i got a red ring of death and a month later it came back with a new mother board, still freezes every so often though but it runs in 1080p
