I bought Fifa t'other day, still not played it but I've played the demo
Everybody blabs on about how good Pro Evo is but never realy why it's better
A mate had some xbox mag that said PES got 92% & Fifa got 77%. Or something like that
Can take Fifa back & swap for PES on Friday if I want. Just don't know if it's worth doing

Well the things that converted me from FIFA to PES is:
Fifa has always been the looker, but where it looks fantastic, it lacks in gameplay.
It is so much more difficult to score in PES
I've always HATED that players in Fifa are both footed 
The ball in PES is treated as a different entity (ie; the ball doesn't automatically go wherever the player does, you have to hit a shot at the right time)
The Master League is fantastic.
I'm sure there are many more but just can't think of them Can't you download PES2008 on the PS3? If so, give it a go. The diving is a work of ART

on the xbox ive played fifa for about 10 games with my mate and ive played the pes2008 demo a few times.
for me pes wins as the graphics are about as good but the gameplay is far better. like what eck says, its more realistic and harder. im getting pes anyway

I've always been a PRO man, never liked the gameplay in FIFA.
My mate told me that FIFA 08 is awesome, the best one yet but having played it i really cant see where it came from. As much at Pro 6 annoys me i still prefer that to the new FIFA.
Defo buying PRO on friday, canny wait!!

Only played the fifa demo, and PES wins hands down

PES requires so much more skill and the gameplay is more fluid
i was biased to neither, but after playing both PES8 shits on FIFA08, the FIFA08 engine is so clunky is unreal

Played Fifa 08 properly at my mates last night, its pretty poo. Not a patch on 07 which I thought was ace.

I got Fifa 08 arrive today whilst I was in town trying to get PES8 but not out til friday! Ive been playing fifa today a bit and tbh, quite liked it *runs and hides*

whoever said pes is arcade like, i played fifa and in my first ever go managed to score 3 goals against the hardest side in the demo
pes i couldnt even score against turkey for the first 20 demo games i played
you really have to work for your goals
oh and the net looks better when you score in pes

On the Demo I played it doesn't matter what foot they use to strike the ball, it still has the same results?

On the easy levels its run and shoot, but play it on a slightly higher level and its all about getting chances to shoot, the build up play!
Low settings you can run the full length of the pitch and not get tackled or challenged by one player but higher settings, lucky if you get 5mtrs up the pitch without someone at your feet!
Not played the full game of Fifa but the demo was utter wank compared with PES!
Have to borrow Fifa of a mate and try it

on easy peasy yes. on the harder/hardest settings and online, you need to pull teams apart to score, fifa is just a matter of threw ball game.. obv still stoned :x

no no no, fifa isnt a bad game on pro setting, go up to the next 2 and its solid. involves tactics and all sorts, like proper football. have to make proper attacking moves with the whole team, none of this pro evo arcade style stuff.
pro evo is need for speed to fifa's gran tourismo

Got PES2008 this morning, first impressions...............not that revolutionary from PES6 
Game play a bit smoother but the editing mode is bollocks! No option files for XBox 360 either.
Save your money IMO!

actually i really wanted to like fifa as it has all the official teams n shit, and is the most authentic, but sadly its diabolical to play so am forced to dislike it
