then get telling them how crap the service is, if you feel like you are getting no where, ask for the manager, if they refuse, demand the manager, if they say they'll ring you back, say no, ill wait, then, calm down with the manager, try and get somewhere, if not doing, go higher up again, then threaten with trading standards,
demand they cancel your contract, with no charge, keep demanding, saying you've had enough with the crap service, keep at it, it will get you somewhere
then ring virgin, and if it works, say i referred you
writing a letter is the FIRST proper way of lodging a formal complaint actually. If u speak to trading standards or citizens advise they will usually tell you to do this to the retailer and give them 10-14 days to respond. THEN they will take up the case for you. ringing usually gets u no where other then diffeerent operators who's left hand dont know what thr right is doing.

in my experience it took a week of constant complaints on the phone and it was over and done with, no messing with letters etc
yes i agree with the useless people who dont know their arse from their elbow, but if you get to the managers that normally stops

I wish Virgin Media's ADSL is as good as their cable. Wish i hadn't moved to a 'non-cable area'

Thought this wasnt a speed test thread, there is one in Geek Day somewhere?
So letter write or phone call...? First this is?
OK, the speeds a pain, but I can live with it, but the constant disconnecting?
It finally gave up at about 110 last night when it wouldnt reconnect any more at all.

if u dont get anywhere with the phone calls or letters just cancel the direct debit lol, thats what im doing, signed up to that BT 18 month contract, forgot i was only living here for a year i will be claiming to cancel the contract because the speed is nowhere near 8mbps and never has been and if they wont cancel it i will cancel the Direct Debits

before blaming talk talk, get bt to do a test on your adsl line, it may be bt's infrastructure at fault
