Recomended?
I have found a cheapish LCD TV. Has HDMIinputs, RGB Inputs, Scart.
8ms response time. Is that adequate for playing games?
Thanks again

Not at all.
The 37" Elonex one was £380 and I put it side by side with a Sharp 32" Aquos LC32AD5E and it was no different, if not better

The no name one will still be nasty compared to a decent tv, in all cases, they are cheap for a reason, especially 37" for 380 quid, you can't get a decent 32" for that.

Nothing constructive to say, butt out.
Thanks.

Richie. If I could go for an £800 telly, I would do. But I can't so this will do.
It'll be better than my hand me down Sony anyway, so i'm a happy chappy.

tbh thereas a reason they are cheap, look at the contrast raitio bet its under a 1000:1, i have a samsung with a 8000:1 raitio and a friend has a bush iirc and that is 1200:1 side by side the depth of the colour is very visable, more so in dvd and HD than regular tele

It is constructive and factual, why have I to butt out?
Tv's that cheap are nowhere near comparable to a half decent one, not even close, thats fact.
Because some people can't tell the difference doesn't mean the tv's are the same.
If you can't tell the difference go for a cheap one, if you can you'd be annoyed every time you had to look at it.
Would you like me to just say yes, they tv's that manage to be half the price of samsung/sony/toshiba etc etc are exactly the same, I don't know why people pay the extra.

OK John..........
The questions asked were would an LCD with HD inputs be recommended for playing an x-box and also would the 8ms response time be adequate.
Not, how will it compare. I'm perfectly aware that you get what you pay for.

Well if you want to be like that the question was answered in another thread, if the xbox and tv have hdmi thats all you need to know.
Response time is irrelevant really because it could be different stat quoted from another tv you look at.

I agree with you get what you pay for. I spent about £2500 on a 32'', the picture is fantastic, better than anything I've seen elsewhere and the xbox looks great on it. This was a while back, but the current model is still around the same price. Fantastic screen (Phillips ambient light thingy).
