You need the mp3's off your CD's or computers hard drive and if you are connected to the network I would imagine you can just transfer them across, never tried it before. Failing that if you have an MP3 player with a USB transfer cable just put all your songs on that and play them through it on the xbox?

yes mate, i would like my music from my computer hard drive on to the xbox hard drive, without having to put the cd's into the xbox and copy them manually etc. i can plug my ipod into it yea no problems, but cant copy from that obviously. i plugged the xbox directly to the computer, and it didnt ...exactly... do ...alot lol. as i say im just streaming it atm and cant find a way to acxtually copyt the music to the xbox, which is no good when the xbox isnt connected to the network.
am i right in thinking i cant do it without copying all the cd's might just have to make sure i take my ipod with the xbox lol
