im trying to delete a folder on my network drive and it wont let me (any of the folders actually).

If i right click the folder -> properties, theres no security or permissions tab, so what am i supposed to do?

Add your username to the Admintrator account.

What OS are you using on the server? I'm assuming it's Server 2003 or SBS.

Is it User Account Control (UAC) stopping you?

You can turn it off in system settings IIRC.

to turn off uac goto start, run, msconfig, tools then find disable uac in the list.

however i dont think this is your problem

Or go to users and accounts and turn it off, it's not hidden.

Yeah, can be a right pain in the arse. We've had some third party software that will not run with it switched on

turned off UAC and still made no difference.

Logon as the local administrator to your server. If you can delete files and folders from there it's a problem with your profile.
