how do you tighten the diff up correctly?
is there a preload, torque setting?

setting the diff preload is like doing a rear wheel bearing as it is just a tapered bearing, you ned to have it so there is no play but not wound up anymore.

i took the play out, them nipped it up abit more
what what happen if it was too tight? as it was tight undoing the old one

to tight will wear the bearings quicker!
You should be able to easily move the diff with your fingers, but there should be enough drag that you cant really spin it!
