Just wondering can i take that EGR fan thing out that comes on in the mornings ? to make more space under the bonnet ?? if i can what would i need to do ? block anything off ?

its not the egr, it is the sai pump and yes u can take everything off apart from the one way valve on the exhaust

You can remove the valve on the manifold, but it leaves a hole. You can get a plate welded over it.

so the valve on the end, do i have to block it or anything ? or wont it open ?

sweet i gonna rip it all out, this may sound a tad silly but it wont effect my emissions ? it only works for a few mins when u start it up from cold ? as i have Mot soon

What does the sai pump do? And will it effect how the engine runs if its taken out? I would take mine out if it does bugger all!

you can take them out as they are just a little pump that warms up the cat quicker so u get better emissions but they are not needed in this country and it doesnt effect the engine and you shouldnt have an engine light come on

It pumps air into the exhaust to warm the cat up so it lowers the emissions.
Mine passed 2 MOT's without it.
