im puttin a gsi bumper on but dnt really want the fog lights in it,but do i have to have them there for an MOT as they come in the bumper?

no its fine pre97 corsa's didnt have front fog lights i think its only rear ones that you need.

yeh doesnt matter what the plate is afaik. theres quite a few cars that dont have front fog lights and i assume yours as it is doesnt have any ones at the front at the moment so it'll be fine

If you have foglamps fitted they have to work.

yeah if they are fitted they have to work, but if you don't have them fitted you only need one rear foglight to pass the MOT

Nah it's not a legal requirement to have them if the bumper accommodates for them.

But if you wish to install them then they will have to work according to the MOT etc

just ask the MOT station before you book the MOT

not too hard to take them out anyway

why do you not want the gsi fogs in it mate. are you getting the holes smoothed over.?

Front fog lights are not part of an MOT, as they are manufactures options

Rear on the other hand are part of an MOT

my old corsa went through an mot fine with a gsi bumper on, and my fogs wernt wired up

yep, if there's no switch to turn them on, how do they test them

If fitted they must work. Those that have passed the MOT in that situation have been fortunate, just as I have been with an ABS light on!
