I want to raise my bonnet at the hinge end as to let more hot air our, seen it on a few cars an i think it looks ideal. is there a particuar way to go around it? or a kit i can get? any help will be much appreciated cheers

im sure you just get a metal plate cut up for the hinges

Yeh my mate done it on his rs turbo, he just put metal plates ontop of the hinges.

cuz i tried before on the sides of the hinges, but it pulled bonnet over the wing! so dint no if there was a kit. any ideas on what i can do!

it's not mine, but just use some few mm flat steel and cut and drill it..
not hard really

And then get ready for everyone (who doesn't know much about cars) to tell you your bonnet is open all the time.

hahaha cant wait for that!! another thing does the steel require bending at all?? id rather pay someone to make some than do it myself id only end up f****** it up!! lol

It's literally a bit of metal cut to size to fit over the 2 holes for the hinges. Drill it, then screw in the hinge as normal, except this time there's a bit of plate in the way which will mean the bonnet won't sit flush = raised bonnet.
Couldn't be any simpler!

i understand but, the if you sit the steel flush then the bonnet pulls to one side, makin it harder to put the other side on as its pulled over. so you will need to bend it inward to enable bonnet to sit parralell with the original hinge
