If your re-building it then do the thing to fix it? coscasts go pourus as well, wouldnt worry about not trashing it.

Thrash it as much as you like the redtops love it!
As said do a fix before fitting the head so it wont go porous.

as said, do the porous head fix, it's very easy, and may as well do it while engine's out, as it will be easier

engine is still in the car.. will be comming out next year as i will be doing a full rebuild and most probably taking it out to a 2.1 or 2.2
whats this fix you are mentioning? im a little confuzed lol

Take a pic of the exhaust ports. It'll say Coscast upsidedown (when fitted) there.

dont even need to do that, just by looking at the side,and seeing it's got a core plug, denote's it's a GM head, and not a coscast one

Thats the bloody core plug. My mate has a GM head and 2 Coscast heads in his garage. Never put them side by side before
