hello guys recently had a conversion from 1.4 sri to c20xe and have a few problems
1.well accelarating hard some times if feels like the exhaust is chocked or something doesn't give full power have changed the fuel filter but no joy???
2. when changing gears the revs don't come down instantly the stick at like 2/3000 also when i stop the car cuts out sometime s not all the time, and rpm bounces up and down a bit
also there is a sensor that bolt to the back of the engine just above sump in the middle can any1 tell me what that is for?

the sensor that bolt's to the block is the knock sensor.it detect's detonation and tell's the ecu to advance/retard the timing accordingly.iirc.
your other problem sound's like it could be the idle control valve or you may have an air leak.

the problem when accelerating is the car a dizzy or dizzyless ignition? As the cap could be cracked on the lower bolt, mine has done the same thing.... Also check the breathers!
