defo that then. it starts shit and sometimes have decent power but more often not. i already fitted new afm and icv. little difference. eml comes on then of again when i start it later. idle is shit too

90% the Egr valve stuck open then.
guess the light comes on when you let the throttle off after booting it?.

yeah not all the time though. but once the eml has been on then the ecu goes into like a preset safe mode till the codes are wiped and part thats broke is replaced. so keeps running shit.
i also have a fuel smell when my windows are down but no leaks anywhere

Could it not be idle valve or afm? my x12xe does the same ruff lumpy idle when you put your foot down some times it hesitates and some times takes a while turning over to start well longer then it should

i just fitted bran new bosch ones and i got some power back but local garage says its egr now so its in tomorrow morning to see for deffo

check for your tps was this on my 1.4 8v (throttle position sensor)
