Right, its been playing up for a while now. It basically splutters, bounces and kicks back through most of the revs. Just fitted a new coil pack and disconnected the Air flow sensor (Mass Air Flow). It runs better now but when you floor it as soon as the revs hit 5k it will jerk violently and revs drop even if you are full throttle.
Any Ideas

sounds like AFM symptoms.

if you have removed the MAF and it runs better i would suggest a new one for starters

he has bought a new MAF sensor and it was the same. He has a standard airbox.

Had the exact same problem with my Fiesta 1.25 Zetec.
I took the MAF off and cleaned the shit off the element with a bit carb cleaner. Runs perfect now.
Did he definately buy a NEW AFM?
