I removed my XE from an 8v corsa b that I had to reshell it and I got a hold of a 12v. I bought the body mount that is needed for the O/S/F engine mount and when I was fitting the engine today the O/S/F mount and the back engine mount fit but there is about a 2" gap between the N/S/F mount and the mount on the chassis.

I am using the original XE mount bolted onto the gearbox. What do I need to do to make the mounts meet? Should I be using the original 12v mount? I couldn't try this as I got the car without an engine so there was no mounts there. Or do I have to buy another specially made mount?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you do need another conversion mount you can pick them up on ebay from chris ashley motorsport for around 40quid

All the conversion kits I look at only sell the chassis mount and the engine mount, I can't see any that are made to go from the gearbox to the chassis.

use the original corsa mount if you mean the mount with 3 bolts on the front of the gearbox

Yeah thats the one I mean mate. The only problem I have is the car came without an engine in it so there were no mounts. Guess I'll need to try and hunt one down!

Is the 8v mount different from the 12v mount because i think i may still have that lying about?
