could it be crank sensor? do they have a top dead center sensor on a 1.2 16v?

would the egr valve stop my car starting as on my old corsa it took longer to start when egr was broke
PLEASE HELP ME AS IT WOULDT START AGAIN TONIGHT LEAVING BRANDY WHARF CIDER CENTER

Start with the simple things mate...starter motor????
Can you hear the starter clicking? or is it completely silent?
My starter gave up on my old B but i found that carrying a broom handle around in my boot to hit it with usually got it going until I replaced the starter motor

lol nice tatics. it turns over as normal but wont fire up but soon as ya bump it of it starts straight up as if nothings wrong?

Is this the standard engine or is it a conversion? does the ECU light stay on while your cranking it over? Ive never heard of an EGR valve stoping a car from starting and Im sure it wouldnt cause your problem

yes it stays on whole im trying to start it but wen it does start after bumping it off the eml light goes out. just had it in a computer and it come up with no rpm signal and the guy said its normally a crank shaft sensor when it says that? my car is a standard 12 16v sxi
