hi folks, wuz jus lukin t c wot ur advice was on buyin a 1.2 corsa, i jus duno whether t go for the 8valve r the 16valve??

the 16vs have 20bhp on the 8vs when they leave the factory

but remeber theres alot more to go wrong as i founf out moving from a 8v to a 16v

aww ryt ryt, i heard the 16v wud throw up management lights alot? wot other things r ther to go wrong?

theres just alot of sensors tbh mate, and whoever tells you that is a idiot, it only flash's the eml if theres something wrong

1.2 8-valve engines stopped production after 1997 i recall.
i have been driving a P-registered 1.2 8-valve for three years with no problems at all.
but i admit, they are very old technology now, with fairly poor performance.
1.2 16-valve engines are noticeably better for performance and economy.
however, as said, replacement parts and labour repair will be more expensive.
the modern 16-valve engines do have more sensors and electronics.
it's a trade-off. personally, i would buy 1.2 16-valve
