Just been quoted £230 for cambelt, water pump and timing kit fitted to a 97 corsa sport 1.6

Does that sound right??? Seems abit high to me

thats expensive mate, cambelt and timing kit will be about 70quid and pump be about 30-40quid. so he wants about 100quid to fit.

actually dont seem that expensive at all really, but its more than i paid

timing belt kit is £90 at my local motor factors. so thats a fair price i think

Gettin cambelt changed on my 1.2 8v at weekend costin me £60. Something not right there or is it just coz its a smaller engine?

only 8v, its easier to time in and there i less ancilaries, also the kit only has 1 tensioner and a smaller belt
