basically it detects load in the back of the car, s when you lower the car it tricks it into thinking the rear is loading up and therefore adjusts the braking more to the rear (to compensate for weight) although from your pic it looks as if theres nothing connected so nothing to worry about!

when im pulling up to junctions some times when i apply the breaks the back wheels lock so am i right in guessing its got something to do with this thing and thanks for ya help with the pink corsa lee

I'd say yes, and get it looked at. Fek the back wheels locking up on the motorway if you have to do an emergency stop

when i 1st got my corsa the rears wud lock up like crazy under hard braking, only because i had no pads on the front :/
when i lowered my car i just removed that spring all together, not had the rears lock up at all.

its alreet mate, just try and losen it up with some wd40 first, then ziptie it up, as said above make sure your front pads are alreet

av sprayed it every day seems to be getting beter now me m8s has one aswell but his is dropped 60mil and is alrite al just keep spraying it and working it

didnt adjust mine when i lowered it and it was fine tbh
siezed up is an mot failure as is taking the spring off
