What is lapping a CPU? Ive been building computers for a while but ever since I blew my dad's one up when I was doing some experimental overclocking Ive sort of stayed away from that scene

Just went for it in the end and ordered the zalmans... got a T junction to just incase i want to go fully water cooled... was only looking to spend about £800 well over that now but should be a good build

Sanding down a surface to make sure it's as close to perfectly flat as possible, allowing maximum contact for transferring heat.

I used to be well into all this shit, spent shit loads of time/money on cooling and overclocking - and never used my PC because of it

Necro - there is about as much chance as water cooling failing as there is one of your fan motors catching fire

It's really very reliable when done properly
