Hello Corsasport.
Haven't posted on here for years! Anyway thought it would be a good place to ask the following question.
I bought two replacment tyres for the front of my car. Toyo Proxes PX4 215/35/19. The tyres that came both say they are left and have the same directional arrows and both have directional pattern.
Just tried calling the tyre stockists "Revolution Performance Motorstore" and they said just flip round the tyre for the other side.
Is it ok to do this or do you run the risk of reduced grip, aquaplaning and increased tyre wear? should i ring again and get them to send out the correct tyre?
Cheers,

ok cheers IvIarkgraham. I've jsut this second though that the two tyres were bound side by side and i could only see the one side on each tyre. Both those sides said left. Possibly the inside said right?
Or are the insides of tyres different?

Surely they don't make tyres for each side?
Because if you were wanting two for the drivers side i.e. front and back you would need to specify where on the car they are going - no place I've bought tyres does this.
iirc the tyres can go on any way, just matters that you have them the correct way round on the car. I took both my fronts off and put the driver's side on passenger side and vise versa by mistake. It reversed the patterns, but all I had to do was change them round again.
Basically, as far as I'm aware, any directional tyre can go on any side of your car. All that matters is the way round you fit it.

thanks for clearing that up Alan. I think i got confused because i thought the inside wall of the tyre was different to the outter which from what you said isn't the case.

You do get 'sided' tyres, my old school Parada's were sided...

Yeah i think your Paradas were asymmetric so they could only go one way out. Think now from what people have said that my toyos can be mounter either way on the alloy.

Just make sure the tread goes the right way on the wheel. Your tyre fitter will do this for you.

Toyo's are directional but not sided! I have had many sets of Toyo's on my car.
