How easy is this to be done? Is it literally a straight swap or is there a lot of messing around? As i have bin told its easier to fit a red top than a 1.6 engine into my 1.4 sport
cheers

1.6 will be easier to fit as its just a straight swap, you transponder and the chip from the key,

Should be easy for your local garage (if they accommodate for it) to do it, i roughly got quoted £300 from my X14XE to X16XE with all bits supplied etc

Just the labour, though that was my local garage and if i supplied everything, they'd do all the work.
Pretty hefty considering it's a straight job but still unsure if i can get the time to do it yet

Think the guy quoted 3days at most and that's a just incase anything in between like.
Is a fairbit in fairness though!
