a tad annoyed now.
Had my MOT early last week as the MOT was up on the 30th August. The only thing i failed on was emmisions. Was told by the garage i needed a new 02 oxygen Sensor (lambada im guessing) so they kept the car and i was told the re-test would be today and all should be cool.
Now i have had a call saying Theres no Oxygen sensor due to there being a massive backlog on the product, and it could be a matter of weeks till they get one delivered. with trax sunday and me needing the car- not goood.
Any advice what to do?
And Am i right you can get universal oxygen sensors?, and are these ok to use?- was told by the garage there not advisible
ta

Was that the garage telling you that about the O2 sensor - if it was perhaps try locating one yourself...

Mega problems
CO2 - (max 0.50) Reading - 5.4%
Hc - (max - 200) reading - 547
Lambada - (0.97-1.03) reading - 1.25
Those readings are NOW with a universal Lambada sensor.
Do you wreckon with a geniuine lambada sensor, the readings will drastically go down?
Also the garage says it may be due to the mods, Inlet manifold, exhaust, sports cat. and its advised that i need a re-map to the ECU? Opinions?
Cheers

didnt think the CAT was the main problem. i do have a sports cat on at the moment. but suppose it will help changing it.

IS that a 1.6 16v?
Will probably have to thrash the tits off it to get those readings down. I bet it's the CAT causing the probs... Mine needed 10 mins at 6krpm to get the Cat red hot and the readings to a pass level
