Just been round Kurts house and had my bonnet open for a min (got a bit wet with the rain)
Shut the bonnet, turned the key and the car just turned over. Then the EML started flashing. Tried it a few times to no avail.
Then turned it over and gave it a few pumps on the accelerator and it started, but wouldnt hold the revs. I revved it a few times upto about 4k then it was fine, drove home with no problems
PS when i had the bonnet open i did disconnect and re connect the battery.

The ecu was prob resetting itself when you disconnected the battery, and yes the eml flashing is the imobiliser
