I like mine.
Web Browsing is great. The Apps you can get are good. Once you get used to it, texting / phone functionality is no different.
Etc ...
I don't know what you have to pay for it, so I can't comment on whether it's worth for the money.
I can't complain for the price i paid.

£160 to get the 16gb and £35 per month
my uncle who works high up at the carphonewarehouse cant get it any cheaper either

I still find texting a pain in the arse to be honest, after using it for a while. Just doesn't have the same feel as pressing a button, but the dictionary does an ok job of sorting out mistakes.
The rest of the phone I like though, Dog shit camera and no MMS annoys me too.
It is a fashion item to be fair, I'm sure there are loads of better, easier and more advanced phones. But it looks sexy and it just feels so neat to use.

To be honest, I've got used to it for the fact that the auto corrector works so well / I know when it will or won't correct something.
So I just smash the screen roughly in the right area and the words appear correct. 
Only times I have issues is when I'm on the move, walking and texting as 1 hand is moving different to the other hand.
Yeh lack of decent camera is a bit shit.
