Hey folks. It has recently occured to me that my engine management light isn't on when you switch the ignition on.
I know for a fact that my old petrol m reg corsa used to, then went off when the engine started.
Just wanted to check that this was nothing to worry over - according to WhatCar the 1.7D suffers from ECU failure so ya know...
Any ideas?

Hmm... maybe a bit too much effort to get in there just for a bulb. No idea how to get back there.
But you're saying it should be on?

yes it should be on!
but once the engine has been started it should turn off

Wow never knew I had it in me! Checked the bulb and replaced it. Still nothing... any other possibilities?

Also checked the ECU connections (at the footwell end) And all seems intact... Mind boggling!
