Can the pulley on an alternator be removed and a new one fitted? Or is it the case of a whole new alternator?
Its a 1.5 dci clio incase its any different to other makes

Most can be removed as there held on by a nut Not sure about that car tho

Can be removed with an impact gun mate, wouldnt really bother with a spanner or ratchet

A pulley wouldnt rattle though would it? So im presuming its the alternator bearings?

depends what type pulley is fitted?
solid pulley or free wheel type which basically has a clutch mechanism in it to act as a damper and cut out
