. . .how long should, if treated nicely, the gearbox last? Car has done 85k miles.
Just curious because of clutch issues, that's all. 2 people have said very very rarely have gearbox problems on a Corsa. 1 person said it's 8 years old and done 85k miles so is getting old

my Neighbour has a G reg (1989) Ford Escort XR3 which has done 150000miles and still going strong (sounds delightful btw ) anyway his secret is regular oil changes and looking after it. he has replaced very little on the car only the regular consumables (tyres, brakes etc) so all depends the use the car has had
