Hi All,
Right just switched ISP to Plus Net who provided me with a Thomson TG585v7 Router.
Works absolutely fine for surfing the net etc, but I like to d/l the odd thing via BitTorrent - I usually use BitLord.
Trouble is, I can't figure out how to port forward to open up a port for BitLord, so its d/l slow as fook (around 12k/b)
Anybody got the same router and know how to do it?
Any advice much appreciated - a quick search on google didn't throw up much
Also any suggestions for a better BitTorrent client always appreciated - I tried Azureus and scrapped it as found it made my PC run really slow!
Cheers
Rich

go to the member centre on plus net and swich to a staic IP in the connection centre>control your broadband.
then open up your router settings iirc 192.168.1.254??
and enter the ip in correct area for the modem thats the first step

You don't need a static internet ip for port forwarding, nothing to do with it at all.

Well I didn't think I would either - I thought I knew a bit about PC's but that confused me lol.
