While moving, If im revving it quite high in 2nd 3rd or 4th and then disengage the clutch the revs will fall as normal but they will not stop at the idle speed they will carry on falling and quite often cause the car to stall if it cannot recover.
engine is an x16xe
oil has been changed recently
any help will be greatly appriciated.
if i havent given enough info let me know

does it only happen when drving. does it idle ok when first started etc?

idles fine when first started its just when im slowing down. speedo isnt working at the moment. think the cable may have come out the back as i have just changed the engine

i had this on my bmw and a change of the air flow meter sorted it

thats your problem then mate. get the speedo working again and it will be fine. cause the the ecu isnt getting a signal from the speedo then it doesnt quite no what the engine is doing
