having problems with my corsa redtop, when the car gets up to temperature the revs rise on there own to about 2500-3000, i then switch the car off then it wont start until the engine has cooled down. Ive tried cleaning the ICV, throttle body and breather pipes, replaced the 02 sensor and fuel pump relay. any help would be great.

was wondering, if the coolant temp sensor was faulty would it stop the car from starting when the engine is hot?

yeah its the right fuel pump, it seems to be staying on fast idle for some reason, do you know what controls the auto choke?

i also noticed that when switching the engine off the rev counter needle doesnt go back to zero, dont know if this will make a difference but i just thought i would mention it.

Seen that happen on a few cars, don't think it is the root of the problem, just a fault in the clocks I think...

Occassionally, when my redtop corsa got hot it would stick around 3k revs and rev itself even though i was off the throttle.
It always settled after knocking the engine off for a couple mins though.
I put it down to the ICV needing a clean or an air leak becoming apparant when it was hot with the rubber expanding or something along those lines.
