right guys i bought a K&N 57i a while ago and fitted it to my corsa 1.2 8v when i originaly fitted it i removed the whole airbox system including the pipe from the fule pump to the box and i fitted the K&N directly to the box without the plastic pipe in the middle i found this quite nippy and had quite a strong beefy sound but the other day when i was cleaning out my engine bay i found that the K&N was touching wires and getting damaged so to stop it from getting marked up and ruined i did what most people do and put the plastic tibe between the fuel pump and the K&N which looks alot more smart but it seems that it dosent pull away as quickly as from when i had it directly on the pump and the sound it a bit pathetic but i can stay in gear for a bit longer without maxing out my revs can you guys explain am i right? has anyone else had this problem? what do you guys do with you cones, induction kits, K&N filters? pics would be great to

you could heat shield the k and n filter from engine bay heat and run a cold air feed from the front of the car to the k and n filter, or could put the k and n filter into a airbox and leave the front of the box open then aim the cold air feed at the front of the box, or you could drill some of the bottom half of the airbox inner wing side and run a cold air feed to that side or you could get a enclosed induction kit
