Hello,
A Friend has asked me to look for a full HD TV for around £500 mark for her sons new PS3 hes getting for xmas. I have no idea when it comes to TVs. Any ideas?
Needs to be 1080p and not a unknown brand name.

what size? ... 100hz?
they have definately come down alot recently but you may be better off advising her to write the son a voucher and go out after christmas...

Size about 42" upwards. Its not fir her son but for the family so not really an option to write a voucher.
Any good deals on at the moment?

You'll do well to get a full HD 42" for £500, think there's a toshiba on offer at currys at the moment for £599 tho

theres a 42inch sharp aquos in argos down from 899 to 599 its really really nice, picked on up my self. full 1080p, 5ms response high contrast retio very nice.

I am a big fan of samsung my tv and monitor are great, remember I am pretty sure ps3 only does 720 hd so if its for the ps3 only 1080 is a overkill , best place for some info is stuff magazine.
