other places seem to be £200+ for this bd player, so this seems pretty cheap!
whatever i buy needs to have anynet+ connection so it matches my tv and surround and am unsure if thats a samsung only thing . anyone suggest anything better/cheaper?

they are a real company, they have a fuckoff big warehouse with a little shwo room attached to it in Ilford, I've been there in person to pick up a telly.

RGBdirect and Amazon also have it for similar prices, although yes, I have heard of PRC Direct

ok thats good then! does anyone know if the anynet+ is unique to samsung or if other makes have a similar compatible system?

Most other manufacturers have their own system, but doubt any are compatible between makes...
Either stick to Samsung, or just get a universal remote

its more about the way that if i open the tray of the blu ray player the tv automatically changes to the right chanel as does the surround, just super laziness really! is the one i linked any good or are they all pretty similar on the cheaper ones?
