Duno but I've just had both my h/brake cables replaced to pass the MOT.
I know they took the drums off and gave them a good clean but how easy it is to do, I don't really know.

sometimes the drums can be a bit of a twat to get off aswell as the cable is attached inside the drum.

Which is why you file the lip off the inside of them when removed

I've had to use a hammer and a bit of brass to get a drum off before, can be a bit of a pain.

Basically under your handbrake theres a cable there, that connects in the middle (two bits connect together with a joining piece) follow the old cable along both sides of the rear axle, then it feds into the back of your drum!

it's extremely simple if you can take a wheel off, you can do this, it's just a bit fidly and dirty!
