for the past month or so BT has been running really slow, it struggles to open youtube during peak times and ive done a few speed tests over the past month and the download is roughly about 280kb. we've been looking into sky as its a tenner cheaper per month than bt and supposed to be quite good. Are there any other reliable providers out there that someone can recommend. Cheers!

O2 is supposed to be the one to have at the moment.

We're on VirginMedia/NTL. We never has problems in terms of full on network going down, no service etc. The problem we do have is if we watch a lot of YouTube vids and such, then the speed goes really slow. Simply reset the modem and everything is ok.

I've been having nothing but problems with BT the last few months but tomorrow I'm being cut off and my O2 line will be activated
ALOT cheaper a month and its up to 16Mb so I reckon I should be getting between 12 and 14Mb

I'm currently with Virgin ADSL and its fucking crap. Seems to have the same dinner hour as me, won't connect to the net from 12 till 1.

Going to go with O2, seem to be recommended and the prices are good.

O2/Be are only decent if you're exchanged is LLU enabled with their gear, otherwise you're still using BT's network.

Has UKFSN managed to sort out something with Entanet regarding Entanet's peak time changes?

I've not been contacted about any changes?

Same allowances are still showing on the site, just with adjusted VAT.

Go on the site like you're gonna order a package and it'll let you put your phone number in. It'll tell you there and then if it's available and what speed you'll get.

I hadn't seen that, it wouldn't make me immediately move because I can't get LLU and they're still the best i've seen yet, all my downloads are qued on my server for offpeak anyway so i'd just have to adjust that.

When they say it takes 10 days for your line to settle, does that mean it might lose connection alot, if no then my phone line much be fucked coz I still have a practically unusable net service.

EDIT : Phoned O2 and they said there was alot of noise on my line so the upped the margin and so far (touch wood) its been ok.
