Alright guys, My corsa is going in for its MOT on thursday. Just wondering if having the rear dropped -100mm is likely to cause any concern for the tester? The springs are cable tied in place to top them falling out when the car is jacked/lifted up.
Also will the car go onto that brake tester thing without grounding out?
Cheers

i would be carefull when its on the brake tester because when i had my corsa sport it was lowered bout 60mm on speedlines and im pretty sure when it was on the brake tester the exhaust was hitting the floor but not 100% sure as it was nearly 2 years ago now
but im sure somebody with -100mm will help you out more

spoke to an mot tester the other week shaun, and she said its ok aslong as there not cut (take reciept from coilsprings to say there custom springs) also doesnt matter if there cable tied aslong as spring returns to its original place when jacked up (cable tie will hold it in place)
not a problem, but just to be safe its a good idea to return to 60mm as you have done

also wanted to know this, as i normally change them for 60mm, i thought he would have something to say if he seen they were cable tied in

a proper mot tested will fail them if the rear springs are insecure (well they should fail it)
if the springs are helf in with caple ties then this means they are insecure

My track car failed once because due to a lack of clearance on the wheel arch but I think he was being picky
