does he know you have a combi?
you cant boost a combis hot water because the boiler its self heats the water
if you have a tank full of hot water you can empty it as quick as you like and it will still be hot as its already been heated
if you have cold water and pull it through the boiler at over 2 bar it isnt going to get warm at all because it wont be in the boiler for long enough to heat up

I have a mixer shower on a combi boiler. Depends what your presure is like to be honest. Mine does the job, no power shower mind. Cranked the hot water heat on full on use some cold water.

depends on what your local pressure is like and if the combi is big enough to run the shower, check the manufacturers instruction for the shower and check what the liters per min required is,
also whats ur make of boiler and ill check the flow rate to see what it is, but sometime can also be down to the condition of your boiler/system cause if its full of crap and you have a plate exchanger your never gona get as good hot water at the higher flow rates than you would of a clean plate exchanger see this quite often at the moment.

you can have a mixer shower but you cant have a boosted shower,
you simply cant have a shower pump attactched to a combi boiler
your pressure at the hot and cold taps should be good enough to have a mixer shower, shower pumps are only needed for tank and cylinder systems
