Mine are also really dim, and you can't fit them wrong, they either work or they dont.

Same as mate. Post a pic if you have one so everyone knows what we mean.

Of the bulbs being wrong or how dim it is?

Heres a pic of mine. See what I mean about dim? And no, I don't have one of them switches where you can change the brightness.

It is common that there is difficulty in getting the LED light to spread around the clocks evenly.
The colour doesnt help, i had blue ones also and i knew when i was speeding because you couldnt see the dial face above 70.

Green are considerably brighter IIRC.

What colour were the dials on those cars?
I presume black dials wouldnt help with dispersing the light.

Yeah, black. I only changed the bulbs coz the old ones had blown so didn't bother getting new dials.

EDIT : Kurt had black dials also and his bulbs were alot brighter.

I do know where youre coming from about it being a rubbish brightness, plus the wheel that alters the brightness didnt work on mine

I u2u'd Kurt and he said he had the same bulbs as me. Also, I've noticed he has the brightness wheel on his so that may have sorted it for him.

You can see that it's still not completely even on Kurt's though.

Yeah but as you can see on Kurt's Dave, its daylight and the bulbs are still shining bright. In my car, in daylight, you can't see any light coming from the bulbs at all coz its so dim.

This is true. Although, I can't see a lot with my standard ones in daylight.

I don't know

These are what I have behind the speedo...
Its the shape of the top one in the picture.

http://www.crazyleds.co.uk/crazyleds/product.php?productid=36&cat=8&page=1

Notice the quote, '100° Wide viewing angle LEDs in each led for intense brightness while giving out a good spread of useable light.'

it wont make them brighter - in fact if anything theyll be dimmer. But they will give off a "better" light as it will be dispersed more and wont hotspot as much

That works with normal leds, but these already have flat tops to disperse the light.
Ive got an adjuster wheel and it only makes the smallest difference.
Someone email crazy leds and they will have the answer probably.
