you can't have any tint on the front windows unless it is tinted glass i.e the corsa sports have tinted glass not a film over the top.the glass is 70% if im rite as it will say in the corner of the glass, but you can't put any type of tint on the front

Sorry but that's rubbish.
You can do whatever you like to the rear windows (paint them black if you really want) but the fronts are limited to 30% which you get standrard.

Vans are commercial vehicles genuis and are under different rules and regs... dont try and outsmart me in a sarcastic manner, i hate it when people do that.
Window Tints
As of January 1st 2004, new legislation was brought in that prohibits window tinting.
The Law:
You are not allowed to tint your windscreen or front windows AT ALL. Anything forward of the B pillar (middle of the car) MUST NOT be tinted in anyway. You are however still allowed to perform any level of tinting on your back windows.
If you've tinted you windows before January that does not mean that you are safe, if the police believe that your tint causes reduced visibility they can issue you with an order to have it removed.
Why was this law brought in?
The reason this law was introduced was that there was a serious accident between a motorbike and a heavily modified car with very dark tints. It was believed that the root cause of the accident was that the driver couldn't see well enough through his tinted windows.
but however the rear wondows are still under legislation that if they let in less light than standard then you can be told to remove them, depends how clued up the copper is and how good his sex life is.

You've quoted the real law then just made up your bit anyway because the rules don't say it
Can have the backs whatever way you want.

So which is it? You can or cant tint the rear windows?

Theres no clearcut law on the rears. But the police are well within their right to slap a prohibition notice on your car if they think the rear windows dont let enough light in assuming they werent factory standard. Some parts of the law are grey areas. Did you know its illegal to run any louder aftermarket exhaust now?

You're just picking bits and pieces of what you've misread on forums and presenting them as fact.

You quoted most of it from another site, you just made the last bit up yourself though.

There is though. It says that you can have whatever you want on the back and the fronts must not be tinted more than 30% which is standard on all cars these days, including the Corsa B.

DizzyRebel you've been sniffing glue.
Answer this: If it's completely legal to put van panels in a standard 3 door car that previously had windows, why would you not be able to tint them?
You're getting your own opinion mixed up with fact mate. Better get back to gogle and search a bit further into the subject before you come out with any more verbal diarrea.

Taken from here, page 8.
quote: Both the police and VOSA are now stopping vehicles with tinted windows and checking the Visual Light Transmission (VLT) through windscreens and side windows. If the light getting through is less than is legally required, the driver may be prohibited from using the vehicle until the tint is removed. Motorists who don’t rectify the problem may be prosecuted.
The legal limits for window tinting are a minimum of:
- 70 per cent VLT for side windows
- 75 per cent VLT for windscreens on vehicles first used after April 1985 and 70 per cent VLT for those first used prior to that date.
Try arguing with VOSA.
