i got a new mouse at work the other day and instead of a scrolling rolling thing its got a little joystick u just tweak up and down its awesome!

logitech G5...its insane, you can add weights to make it feel nicer, and adjustable DPI too for gaming.
pricey though

Logitech ftw. I've had the same wireless optical mouse for at least 3 years and it just keeps on going. Good weight too with the batteries in it imo, don't like corded ones any more.
The model is "Cordless Optical Mouse" Got it off eBay

I'd never get anything other than Microsoft tbh! Been through loads of shit ones in the past but my IntelliMouse Explorer has been absolutely spot on for years, swear by it
