how hard do you recon it would be?
if i got like a straight bit of pipe and cut the silencer out of my pipe?
ino it would be abit of a bodge
but must be cheaper than takin it to a exhaust place

im thinking of doing this if u cut the pipe out and put the pipe could u get away with puting two exhaust clamps each side or isit a case of welding it?

i wanna do it just darent incase it sounds shit lol but if ur only clamping it suppose u could always put it back on

i just used a bigger bit o pipe and clamped it on using 2 exhuast clamps.
sounded ok

What would it do to the performance as i did it to my 998cc mini with a straight through exhaust which gave a dead throaty sound but i have been told getting rid of the mid box lowers the back pressure recking performance wic i am unsure whether it is true or not????

will not lower back pressure, on my gsi i had 4 into 1 manifold, decat, remus straight through centre section, ande piper rear box was pretty dam loud but seemed to pull quite well
