think my head gasket is gone, how do i know??


so far there is white smoke coming out the exghuast n water

filld the coolant tank thingy up 2weeks ago, and now it is empty :S

help plzzz

have a look at the oil dip stick and the oil cap and check if there is mayo like sludge onit, if so head gasket has definetly gone

yea checkd that, but its clean, the car isnt actually on the road and i was told you onli get that if the car is on the road and being used

fill the header tank up (water bottle) start up and run for 10 mins see if you get big bubles in the tank, or if the water spits out of the tank your head gasket is gone, thats one way of telling

ive put k seal in it for the mean time, i just hope it works for now :L

plus bolts and cambelt and oil and a few other thing. £20 quid if you want to bodge it with a piece of cardboard yea

ha fuck that off then. seriosly though take it to a garage and get a compression test done. that will tell you for sure. k seal is crap. need to get it fixed properly

well i'll never be buying a car off you then!

head off
checked for flatness
gaskets
cambelt
cambelt rollers
water pump
etc

it all adds up plus the x14xe is not a nice engine to work on with it being so cramped in the engine bay
