My 1.4 16v temperature decides to rise and fall for no apparent reason - everytime I check the water level and its fine. When checking the water though it seems to be quite dirty and foamy (as if theres fairy up liquid in it).
Also I have no heating most of the time - just as it would be if I had no water in the car, but everytime I check there is water.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me??

Could be an airlock if you get no heating, as for the foam in the header tank - not a clue!

try squeezing your coolant pipes, if it isnt a airlock though, could be your head gasket mate

Ok, pretty sure it isnt the headgasket though, hasnt got any of the signs of headgasket failure
