Think my clutch cable has had it with age. Tightened it up a few times now but it goes slack within a day again so the clutch bites low again.

Every time we check the nuts seem to have gone loose.

So, spose I should get a new cable Expensive? Are they easy to fit or best to take it to a garage as I'm honestly gonna be no use at all lol. I might be able get a mate to do it though in the week if its easy with minimal tools, a trolley jack and notalot else.

Cheers
Markus

Have find somewhere cheap for the cable then, Autovaux seems to have lost all its entries for the Corsa B on it's site?

Perhaps the threaded bit where the nut goes is fucked? I thought my cable had snapped but turned out the threaded bit was fucked so the nut was slipping. Rang up Autovaux and got a new cable for £19.

Very easy to change if you have some string to hand as well .

You can get them from motor factors for about £15.

Had it done today, the old cable was ready to go - we managed to snap it by hand lol, only a few threads holding it together! Was lucky there.

New ones made a huge difference, gearbox feels loads more slick and changes are much more positive as is the pedal feel. Well worth it
