My exhaust hastarted blowing just before the cat, and was wondering if i was to de-cat it would it make a difference in noise i.e. would it be stupidly loud. How much out of interest would a garage charge to either weld up the leak or weld up the hole?

Decat does give out more noise, but not huge amounts. It is noticable alright. You could try and wrap one of those quick fix things they sell round it, but ive never used them.

Have used them before and they arent that good.

Would it make it louder decatting it than it would removing the centre box.

Might just have the hole welded

yea bout the same loudness really. If got striaht stainless from manifold back. Sounds the nuts
