I need a new computer but i only really need the tower as i have the screen,printer,speakers etc so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas where to look. Im not really into computers so dont know a great deal about them
Im looking for a decent set up with about £500 to spend

Dunno, Dells are pretty competitive on price. But if you build yourself you'll get better quality parts; it will cost more more though.

To tell you the truth i wouldnt even know where to begin on building my own computer. Ive allways had dells in the past and never had any probs with them so i mite have a gander on their website

Most places will build it for you if you pick the parts, a lot of computer buffs on here that could put a good spec together for you for your budget.

if you can manage to join lego bricks together you can probably build a pc for £500 you should be ab le to get a fairly decent gaming machine

You could build a PC similar to mine for £500, probably a better specced one as well as I expect prices have gone down since I built it.
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H
Memory: OCZ Platinum PC2 6400 2GB
HDD: 2x 320GB Western Digital
Video: BFG GeForce 8800GT 512MB OC2
PSU: Corsair VX-550W
Put on top of that a case and DVD-RW drive and it'll be just under the £500 mark.
