i was driving along today and i heard a really bad grinding noise,so i stopped to have a look what it was and couldn't see anything so i started to drive home, Before i new it i heard a bang and a crunching noise so i pulled in to a petrol station to find my wheel has come off slightly . I took the centre cap off and there was lots of shrapnal in there alll the bearings and bits of the castle nut :O The wheel jus fell off when i jacked her up Does any body no what i need to put this back together, were i would get it from and prices please .

u will defo need front wheel bearing possibly the hub too ure probs best of goin to local scrap yard n gettin a decent 1 form there for a tenner as the bearings are pressed in n hubs aint cheap

On the rear it'll probably just a new bearing kit along with the castle nut and a split pin unless it's done any damage to the stub axle or the brake drum.

I paid about £8 iirc for a non-GM rear wheel bearing kit from a local motor factors. Castle nut and split pin might be a quid or 2 from Vaux

yes but you can do it with a hammer and a big socket just knock the old one out with a chisel theres slots in the hub to do it

better off paying £30 down your local scrappy for ac omplete rear beam

i just been to the scrappy and the said stub axle 10 so i was happy with that . when i came to take it off 3 bolts came off with a bit of a struggle due to rust and the last one the head was complety rounded off couldnt think of anything so i went home didnt think of the whole back axle pal

Rear beam is a doddle as long as the brake lines arent corroded.. best thing to do is go round each corsa in the scrappy and try and un do the brake line from the drum, if they both come undone thats the winner release the hand brake cable from the lever (this will save you time) and then just drop the beam (four bolts).

getting it home will be a problem tho i would have thoght i had to snap the break lines in the one i just did so that one is out of the question
