Im betting July,
Ended their exclusive deal with AT&T in the states, will more than likely go the same way here.
o2 would probably prefer it so they can start selling other high end phones again.

i was pleasantly surprised by this device.
the thing people need to realise about the iphone, is that not everyone wants one. o2 simply cannot afford to place all their eggs in one basket which is why i *think* that they wont continue their exclusive deal with it, as there other customers are getting punished-ie customers who want other phones like c905s etc are being charged a fortune because o2 get most revenue from iphone sales.
at&t in the states thought it would be fucking brilliant to have the iphone and try and dominate the states with it. yeah it sold amazing, but it limited their customers to one high end handset. essentially, they have now pulled out of exclusivity because it comes with too many tie ins.

Wired is reporting that a source closely connected to the Apple hardware team is giving out details about the suspected upcoming revision of the iPhone. Among the most important details are a launch date of July 17 (a Friday) and that it will come in two flavors of 16GB at $199.99 and 32GB at $299.99
Full potential leaked spec list below:
•32GB and 16GB storage (up from the current 16GB and 8GB models)
•$199 and $299 price points to be maintained
•3.2-megapixel camera (up from the current 2-megapixel camera)
•Video-recording and editing capabilities
•Ability to send a picture & video via MMS
•Discontinuation of the metal band surrounding the edge of the device
•OLED screen
•1.5 times the battery life of the current models
•Double the RAM and processing power
•Built-in FM transmitter
•Apple logo on back will glow
•Rubber-tread backing
•Sleeker design
•Built-in compass
•The camera, GPS, compass and Google map combined will identify photo and inform about photo locations
•Turn-by-turn directions
The upgrades provide a solid reason to purchase a new one but do not provide any ground breaking features that haven't been seen before in a mobile device.
The FM transmitter is a nice feature but anyone who has tried to stream music
to a car radio will tell you that they are nothing short of terrible, especially if you live in a populated area with many radio stations.
It won't be until early June when the world will find out if these specs are true or just another person looking for their 15 minutes of fame; albeit, they do line up nicely with some of the rumors that have been circulating the web.

I don't know how you do it bubble, especially after speaking with RIM directly, but you're wrong again.

thats a bluff report john.
all rim reports have been thrown to put people off the scent.
look at the phone on the left. the bluff devices have the call button upside down.
as i said earlier, there are 2 devices floating, one with a capacitive screen, and one sure press.

Why would they make a bluff device but then put something as obvious as an upside down call button on it?!

to keep things schtum
the same reason why they disable the OS.
same reason why they show photos of cars that dont look like the real thing. to test the water and things.

I thought that would have been the end of it.
Don't tell me we'll have to wait until this comes out to put this to rest.
Storm one users will be happy, it was that big a failure there is a new one out within months.

But an upside down button isnt going to throw people off the trail like the other examples you gave, its just an obvious indication (if its not really like that) thats its not real.

my point exactly! thank you. theyre reporting they have the phone(yet they have the bluff device-check the older storm-green button opposite way AND its the wrong way compared to red button)
also, its not using the same OS and in them bluffs they are using 4.5. new one has 5.0. completely different.

Bt you still can't get past the fact that the Storm is just an ugly piece of engineering, and Apple products are nice pieces of industrial design.

if you say so!
so much of a failure that it is having another one released?
the iphone went from iphone to iphone3g, does that mean the initial iphone was a failure?
